CATEGORIES:
Workshop Participant: Individual girls who would like to attend workshops and Hour of Code activities, but do not wish to compete.
Never Competed Before: Teams of up to three girls who have never competed before.
Novice: Teams of up to three girls with some competition experience; no members who have yet completed the APCS A course.
Advanced: Teams of up to three girls with advanced competition or programming experience; open to any girls.
The contest is only programming, where all divisions receive the same packet of problems. Each problem has a different point value (from easiest to most challenging). Teams will be ranked based on points earned. Top three teams in each division will be awarded individual medals and a team trophy. If a team's score from a lower division is higher than third place in a level above them, that team will automatically be bumped to the higher division category.
Teams consist of up to three girls per team.
Teams can bring one reference book.
Teams can bring one computer, one keyboard, and one monitor per team. No printers. Computer should have wifi capability and configuration access.
If you would like to use our desktop PCs, please choose that option on the registration form. Our PCs will have Java with JCreator, Eclipse, and JGrasp editors.
We plan to use the domJudge online judging software.
